Dr Jon Rosewell
Senior Lecturer in Information & Comms Technologies
Jon Rosewell is a Senior Lecturer at the UK Open University where he has developed and delivered distance learning courses in a range of subjects. He works with colleagues from the European Association of Distance Teaching Universities in the area of quality assurance for online learning in higher education. He has helped develop the E-xcellence benchmarks for quality assurance of e-learning and is an author/editor of the current E-xcellence manual. He has also developed the OpenupEd Quality Label for MOOCs. Jon’s research interests centre on technology enhanced learning, including assessment, informal learning and citizen science. Jon holds an MA from University of Cambridge, PGCE from University of Oxford, PhD from University of Leeds and both BSc and BA degrees from the Open University.
