Gregoire Burel
Research Associate
I am a research associate at the Knowledge Media Institute (KMi). My work involves the development and application of machine learning techniques and social semantics for the investigation of user behaviour in different settings (e.g. answering behaviour, energy consumption habits, emerging behaviour in emergency crisis and misinformation tracking), the development of visualisation tools and platforms (e.g. energyuse.eu, fcobservatory.org) and ontological models (e.g. DoRES, EUse,Veracity, Curio).
I am currently involved in the EU founded Co-Inform and HeROS projects where he is investigating if fact-checking has an impact on the spread of online misinformation.
